The Tittabawassee Township Historical Society was formed on November 13, 1991, when the Township was celebrating its 150th anniversary. This year, 2016, is the 175th anniversary of the Township and the 25th anniversary of the Society.
Our members have accomplished a great deal during the past 25 years. We cooperate with other societies, organizations and libraries in researching and preserving the rich history of Tittabawassee Township for future generations. We collect photographs, documents, newspaper articles, artifacts, local histories, pioneer family histories and historical stories about the Township and the surrounding area.
Our goal is to have a Historical Library and Museum in Freeland for the benefit of our community.
